Play The Game And Eliminate The Pain

It is Past The Time For Each One of Us To Help Each Other
( he ain't heavy, he's my brother and
she is my sister)!

Right on Romee Rome Lord knows that I tire of brothas and sistahs, who determine for the rest of us, just who is black and who is not, particularly the ones of us who refuse to accept 'their strident formulas'! This systemic problem, that we have in black America, followed us from the other shore. Given the greatest of the Continents, Africa, it should have become the most powerful nation, instead of a colonized one. Ours, is a systemic multi-generational ... problem. And still I rise? On an individual, and not a group basis, perhaps.

Again, I work each day, at my own expense, with a group of people who won't do much of anything for themselves, but are waiting on someone else to solve their problems. Not all of them are black either. Other individuals and groups are learning that it pays to wait and do nothing, and you'll get money, housing, food, healthcare.... eventually, and more. The question is, how long will the free stuff, last? Not even I, my sistahs and several brothas', would want to take care of able-bodied people for the rest of their lives.

We could have built a strong black economy centuries ago. Instead, it is this obsession with the man (and Condi), that is holding some people [black]; or keeping us from having it. If being accepted by retrograde thinking brothas'... is the litmus test to be passed, then sorry my brothas and sistahs, finally farewell. If you say that I am not black, then I say that you are not rational. The brotha who quoted from the Bible, doesn't it say that 'the truth will make you free'? Well, I seldom meet a black person who doesn't have a Bible, but many of them are not free, and you can immediately surmise thatl.

So which is it, 'that the truth will make you free', or some other allegory'? There are some among us, that believe in a false-positive, and it is not the truth at all!

Right on Romee Rome, for both action and inaction are often predicated upon belief, even the belief in unbelief.  Both will determine, by and large, how a person will react to a certain stimulus. Some will cry, others might run, but people of courage will say, bring it on; and immediately begin to plot a solution. Some of our black people, and I love black people, don't get me wrong, are so prone to acting bad, but when the trial comes, they run home, and talk about what the big ole white man did to them, momma, today.  "He is biigger than Goliath of the Hebrew scriptures, they would say!

Monied conservatives, the American-Christian military complex, duplicity, hegemony, failed leadership....  One can cry, but some of us plot a solution and begin to overcome. The help that we need from our own people is MIA, and often results in blacks like Condi, going to the other side. And sadly, some of our people are flailing against their own, confused, mesmerized, brainwashed and don't know up from down. And too boot, they walk around acting bad. . So what did and does the other side do in response? They put gates up around their communities and homes, hire security, and lay their contretemps off from work, knowing that many of them have never figured out how to cut out an existence of their own.

When their charges are asked, NOW WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? Their response is, I will come back to you and say I'm sorry for stepping out of line? You wouldn't want to go into battle with some of our people, as Nat Turner and others discovered - for if offered a bit of millet, they would sell you out and you would end up in the skillet!

The same problem that hindered our community from overcoming in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, is still with us today, but just a bit more sophisticated. The only thing different in this modern iteration, in my opinion, is that Republican style people, that before were called Democrats, and some still are; decided okay then, let's create a black middle-class and pacify them, while keeping the rest down.  How, by bluffing them, knowing that some of our people will not think and act strategically  in order to get out of a self-imposed exile. We have seen the enemy, and in many respects it is some of the people in our ranks, instead of the other side. I wouldn't go to war with them, for fear of getting shot in the backside.

Back to Condi's message, I dare some of our people to try, and see if their own lives do not turn around. But whatever you do, please stop listening to the ones who promote black cultural genocide!
